Music Production Mentoring

Learn what it takes to produce your own music from idea to release in 12 immersive, one-on-one sessions tailored to your goals, workflow, and style.

From zero-knowledge
to how the pros do it

Our goal at Sonic Recipe is to give aspiring music producers an understanding of the basic ingredients that they need to begin their music production journey. This is done through a more student-focused mentoring process that is specific to their personal goals, workflow, and genre. Our aim is for students to leave our program inspired, confident, and fully prepared to create and release original tracks they can be proud of.

In-Studio or Realtime Online

Students have a choice.

We won’t deny that in-person learning offers a more engaging and immersive experience, allowing students to be inspired in the dynamic environment of a studio with their mentor. A hands-on approach definitely fosters creativity and collaboration, making it easier to grasp essential skills. However, we do understand that online learning is a convenient alternative. Our realtime online sessions are still true to our goal to help equip aspiring music producers with the necessary skills and knowledge to progress independently after the course.

“I don’t pay attention in class ever. I actually paid attention for hours (in this class).
It would usually take me more than a week to make a track. Doing a track now in only a few hours. I’m quite happy right now. I’ve never made a track that quickly. It’s a milestone for me.
(Cyril) made it sound easy. (He) showed me how to do it. It was very clear and very entertaining too. (The course is) Highly recommended. I’ve looked at courses online and the course (price) was very reasonable. I’ve never learned so much of anything in a while that quickly.
The course was worth it.”

“Every time I learned something in the class, I ended up applying it in my (work) projects that same week!
I even listen to music differently now. I feel like I have more ammo and tools now. I now have a little bit more confidence in myself that I can do that (for my clients).
Every time I come to class I’m pretty amped up!
The entire workshop is super valuable. If you’re starting out this is a pretty good workshop to take. It’s pretty thorough. I feel like I’m more ready to take the challenge now than I did 12 sessions ago.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I take the class even if I have zero knowledge in Music Production?
Absolutely! The class is designed to help beginners dive right in, even without prior knowledge. With the tools available today, anyone with a passion for music can start learning music production!
Great! You can build on your existing skills, fine-tune your workflow, and refine your style. This will help you work more efficiently and find your unique flow as a producer.
Ages 12 to 70. Seriously—if you’re passionate about making music, you’re ready to start producing.
The course includes 12 modules, each corresponding to one session.
Each session typically lasts 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Since this is one-on-one mentoring, I take extra time if needed to answer questions, discuss ideas, or explore topics in depth.
Ideally, once a week is recommended for consistency. However, we can adjust based on your schedule and preferences. Some students prefer once a week, others twice, while those wanting to complete it faster sometimes cover two modules in one session. While this can speed things up, taking one module a week allows more time for practice and assignments.
Just a notebook or device for taking notes. Throughout the course, we’ll discuss gear options to help you make informed decisions without overspending on unnecessary items. For a basic setup, a computer, headphones or speakers, and ideally a MIDI controller (if you already have one) will be sufficient.
In-person sessions provide the best experience, but we also offer online learning for those with location or schedule constraints.
That’s the goal! No pressure, though—some students prefer to keep refining their work. We aim for a release so you can showcase your achievement.
You’re welcome to bring a friend, but each person must pay the same fee. I’m a songwriter. Will this course help me? Absolutely! Many songwriters have taken this course. It’ll help you create your own demos and arrange ideas without needing a full band. The course empowers songwriters to produce independently, even leading to solo releases.
Definitely. Your experience gives you a head start. This course will enhance your efficiency and deepen your understanding of the production process.
Not at all! The course is suited for any musical style. Since it’s one-on-one, we can focus on your specific genre and guide you accordingly. Pop, dance, rock, blues—whatever your style, you’re welcome to join.
Just click the “Apply Now” button or send us a message to get started! If you’re ready to enroll, it’s as easy as scheduling your first session and starting from there!
